While searching for information about parking in Boston, I came across the website of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Boston. Their web page states:
Free Parking in Boston: Yes, it's true. The First and Second Church is offering three hours of free parking at the Boston Common Garage every Sunday morning. Just ask the greeter or the sexton for a parking voucher when you arrive at the church or after the service. Vouchers are available to members and visitors. The entrance to the Boston Common Garage is located on Charles Street, directly across from the Public Garden.I've always seen the Unitarian Universalists as an extremely liberal bunch (they welcome members of any stripe, and you'll often find atheists among their communities). But this is above and beyond the call.
More than once I remember driving around Boston with friends praying for a parking space. Now you can do just that and your prayers will be answered!Posted by James at June 30, 2003 10:25 AM
