Hot Diggity

Takeru Kobayashi once again easily won the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog eating contest. His previous record of 50.5 dogs in 12 minutes still stands. I wouldn't have posted about this, but I had to get this photo in here:

The look on the big guy's face seems to say "Heck, I could eat you. How come you can eat so many more hot dogs than I can?"

*laugh* Nice caption. That kid must have the metabolism of a weasel.

Crap like this has to be one of the reasons so many people hate us overseas. People are dying because of war and famine and poverty while a bunch of guys are stuffing their faces with crap in hopes of setting a world record. I've seen this particular competition, and it's not a friendly pie-eating contest at the county fair. It's extreme, and it's revolting.

Good picture, though. I have to admit, this guy really is impressive.

Well, about 50 dogs in 12 minutes... yeah, I can't imagine that appearing anything but disgusting. Watching someone stuff one hot dog alone in his mouth is not appealing, never mind one every.. what, 15 seconds?

Still, it beats watching Bush taunt foreign hostile forces.
