More Faces

Mike at curiousfrog mentioned that he still saw faces in the Old Man of New Hampshire, even though the original has fallen apart. He's absolutely right.

I think I was having trouble seeing the same one he was seeing, but it's tough to keep a good old rock man down. I see at least 3 faces (and pieces of a lot more) when I look at the photo you see here. I've tried to highlight them as best as I can.

The phenomenon that practically forces us to see these faces is also respinsible for the face on mars. The name of that phenomenon is pareidolia.

Imagine my surprise when I saw that goofy photo here. I like the profiles you found. The one I immediately continue to see (and highlighted) is not a profile but directly facing the viewer.

Help, I don't see this... where's the nose?

The nose is kinda to the right. He's facing you.

it is easier to see after a few beers.
