Gum

Name the bad movie (no fair doing a web search)

"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. "
Inspired by real events. Specifically, I just ran out of bubblegum. See empty container on my messy desk.

There's a good chance I didn't see this movie, but I should probably remedy that as soon as possible.

Big Trouble in Little China? Am I right, am I right?

Is it the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Luke Perry?

Oh, damn, you might be right. Buffy or China?

Posted by: Brandon at November 5, 2003 4:11 PM

It was killing me, so I had to google it.

We're both wrong.

Damn.

I know it's not The Great Gumball Rally, but I had to throw that in there.

Good guesses, folks. But it's a much worse movie. For the people that don't want to Google it, I'll post the answer tomorrow. But feel free to keep the guesses coming.

I saw this one, I know I did. No idea would it could be, though. Someone with the acting chops of Van Damme in an action flick?

Definitely someone with very few acting chops. I saw this film with Manny in the theatres when it came out.

The movie is "They Live". I think the most notable acting talent in the movie was the lovely Meg Foster. A fun movie overall which doesn't take itself too seriously.

Starring Rowdy Roddy Piper!

He is, incidentally, Canadian (born in Winnipeg, former home of the Jets). Didn't know that until I looked up the movie on IMDB.

By the way, if you go looking for the Winnipeg Jets in Google, the first link you'll see is the Winnipeg Jets Memorial page, and the URL references Curits Walker. DO NOT click on this link. My virus scan went ballistic and identified multiple Trojan virus bits. I freaked and shut down that site, and will now be calling the Help Desk just to be sure I haven't nuked my company.
