Satan's Pork

On the subject of Beggin' Strips, Steven @ The Sneeze says:

To put it simply, this is the devil's bacon.
I have some admiration for a guy who would eat dog food. What's more, I have a barf bag handy. Brings to mind my own yogurt-themed "Chuck Told Me Not To" post. And subsequent follow-ups.

Keeeerist!!!! Beggin Strips? Pickled Pork Rinds? Ralph's Potted Meat Product?

That guy is whacked! Funny, but whacked. I'd never in a million years consider eating what he does.

What's next, pickled lamb's tongue?

I don't even give Beggin' Strips to my dog (at least not often). That stuff is extruded and has a consistency reminiscent of play-doh. Its yummy taste sometimes causes a dog to gulp it down without chewing thoroughly. Then it balls up in the dog's innards and causes a blockage, or a spectacular rainbow of vomit, or some other unpleasant consequence.

If people feel an urge to eat Beggin' Strips, all I ask is that you please chew thoroughly.
