I've Got Bil Beat

My class action suit check is even smaller than his paltry 5 cents. The ink on mine? Exactly $0.03.

Woo-hoo, I hope this check clears! It'll pay for almost 8/10 of a second of Lord Of The Rings: Return of the King.

Speaking of which, check out this review:

The Daily Mail: "Disappointing. Overblown. Anti-climactic. Bungles. These are just some of the adjectives I shall not be using to describe the third part of The Lord of the Rings. How about amazing, stupendous, jaw-dropping and overwhelming.

"For this is wonderfully imaginative cinema on the grandest possible scale, fabulously inspired but never restricted by Tolkien's original vision.

"If you ever questioned Peter Jackson's ability to improve on the battle for Helm's Deep, shame on you. The Battle for Pelennor Fields is on such a colossal scale, and so excitingly shot, that it blows away every war scene ever filmed."

Oooo!

$1.14 here from Schwarz vs. Citibank.

I can't wait for the movie either. Should be great. Let me know if you want to catch it together (for your first or 115th time).

Dammit. To both of you!

I am, as I type this, watching the credits roll on the Two Towers extended DVD. I can't wait for the Return of the King extended set, since that's the only way we'll get to see Sarumon...

I got nearly $5 from Paramount Mortgage Insurance, who were evidently ripping people off in 1995 when I bought my first house. Five bucks! Whoohooo!!!

I got some fairly valuable (though somewhat limited) fare coupons from a bunch of racketeering airlines maybe 10-12 years ago, and I got some fairly useless coupons from Iomega for some naughtiness with zip drives.

Awwwww, man! I keep hearing how Pelannor Fields is even better than Helm's Deep, and my primitive brain cannot fathom it. All I can do is sit here, read some advance details of ROTK and drool helplessly on my keyboard.

Congrats on the massive check, BTW. A few more like those, and you'll be able to buy that gumball you've been saving up for! ;)
