What happens when Dungeons and Dragons slams head-on into advertising? You get a whole lot of goofy ads, that’s what. Something Awful (the website) has got its members creating D&D-related joke ads. I’ve decided to make one of my own, which you can see here.
When the Drow are running recruitment campaigns, it makes all the neighboring towns a little nervous. It’s never quite clear what they’re recruiting for.
(a) That's really hilarious James, nice job. (b) Why does it say your article was posted at 7:14 PM? Is your server in a different timezone?
Posted by: Chuck S. at April 7, 2004 7:18 PMMy server's clock is off. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it. Weird - it's gotten worse with the time change, but not in the expected direction.
Eventually, I'll be moving to a new server. Until then, the time will be goofy.
Posted by: James at April 7, 2004 7:21 PMI remember the old Star Wars RPG (I don't remember who put it out, but WotC has the franchise now and I guess has a D20 Star Wars game) had big military recruiting ads in it that were awesome parodies. "Join the Imperial Navy" looked just like a regular military recruiting ad in any issue of Time Magazine from the late 80s.
