Hokey Flash video for “Don’t Stop Believing.” It’s not especially messed up or anything. But the whole idea of listening to Journey on purpose is messed up.
America Coming Together has produced this video with Will Ferrell to promote their goal of encouraging Democratic base voters to vote and swing voters to vote in favor of progressive causes. They boast the largest voter contact program in the country’s history. Aside from a good cause, their Will Ferrell video is quite funny.
Actually, it's only eight queens. Nine WOULD be impossible. Since a chessboard is 8x8 and a queen attack every horizontal, vertical, and diagonal it can see, once the eighth queen is down, all the rows and columns are covered.
It was a neat puzzle, though. Took me a few minutes to get them all placed.
BTW - Brian's "proof" of why nine queens is impossible is an application of the "Dirichlet principle" more popularly known as the "pigeonhole principle."
