Unbanned Shotgun

Here you go.

  • Geocaching T-Shirt (Geocaching humor)
    • No, this isn’t exactly the kind of T-Shirt Chuck was talking about. It’s evidence that some geocache hubbies don’t get along with their wives. This fellow should really offer an alternate gender version as well. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
  • Kryptonite vs. Bic (Oops!)
    • Apparently, expensive Kryptonite locks can be foiled by a small pen. More here. Found via Going Nowhere.
  • HoldThemAccountable2004 (Political)
    • With over 1,000 American lives lost, the Bush Administration acts as if peace is just around the corner, but it is the lack of a real plan to stabilize Iraq that keeps costing American lives. The 30-second TV ad titled “Terrible Mistakes” highlights the terrible cost paid because of the Bush Administration’s failure to develop a real plan to stabilize Iraq.
  • PurpleSlurple (Webtools)
    • A great site that indexes any web page and provides sub-page references. For example, you can link to a particular paragraph in an article. If it’s important or useful to link directly to a part of a long document, this service is for you.
    • Here’s one use. Highlighting particularly fun Bush quotes in the official record.
    • Did I get this from Mike or from somewhere else? I can’t remember.
  • Hawk/Dove Quiz (Geopolitical)
    • These were things we knew (known knowns) before the Iraq war. But we forgot them before we remembered them. Go down the list, and think about 100+ lives lost, and thousands of other “collateral” lives. I think I saw this on Steve’s site, Absit Invidia.
  • Bush in Love (Fiction, Humor)
    • Long but funny account of Bush’s unrequited Kerry love in the New Yorker. This cannot end well, can it?
  • Shakespeare Insults (Insulting)
    • A perennial fave. Get your insults here. And I just can’t get enough. And I just can’t get enough.
  • Twinkie vs. Water (Science)
  • Jaws in 30 Seconds (Flash)
    • Re-enacted with bunnies, of course.
  • Bomber Crash Site (Location, location, location)
  • Official God FAQ (Philosophy/Religion)
    • All you ever wanted to know about God. A must read. Click it now. Your opinion may vary.
  • DNA Graffiti (Weird but cool)
    • “The artist spray-painted part of a chemical component of DNA on the road outside a lab where the double helix was unveiled 50 years ago.”
  • Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (Trailer)
    • Hey, I liked the first movie. Sequel is on the way for this anime classic.

Bush in Love: "Donald and I were clutching each other’s shoulders, hopping up and down, squealing, wondering which of us he’d choose."

Wow. This sounds like the beginning of a Gordon Merrick novel.
