Awesome

That was awesome. Especially the part with all the angry Yankee fans after the umpires corrected their call on ARod and his “creative” running style and ball-swatting prowess.

But, just awesome to behold. Amazing work by Schilling. The Fox commentators couldn’t stop talking about Francona taking him off the mound after 7 excellent innings. They spent half an inning coming back to it again. And again. And again.

See you for game 7.

We're here again for game seven. Amazing. Our current theory is that major league baseball is just like professional wrestling, fixed for maximum drama potential.

I was initially against the wild card but this year I came around when I realized we could have a Yankees-Red Sox pressure cooker series every year or two.

Hey A-Rod--chop this!

Yeah, how about that A-Rod Karate Chop?

Karate-man bruise on the in-side!

I think between the playoffs and the election, I might have heart failure. The stress is killing me!

If we win... IF... wouldn't it be fitting to have a World Series showdown between teams from Massachusetts and Texas?

I would prefer to play the Cardinals, who really deserve to be in it more than the Astrolabes.

As Ryan pointed out, we're approaching the election, ththe end of is series and the World Series, my birthday (the 30th), Halloween, November sweeps...

Everything is happening.

The apocalypse? The rapture?

Well, you _said_ everything...

Posted by: Patti M. at October 20, 2004 2:31 PM

I'm up for any apocalypse or rapture. Especially the rapture. Once those people are gone, we can steal all their stuff!

Posted by: Julie at October 20, 2004 3:35 PM

You know, for a religion that is so uptight about sex, they put a lot of stock into "rapture" and "passion".

As to the World Series, I'd rather see the Astros. I'm not interested in who is deserving. If that were the case, we'd have had the apocalyptic Cubs-Sox series last year. I'm more interested in story. And there is no interesting story in a Sox-Cards series.

Now Sox-'Stros you have MA vs TX right up against the election. You also have the Sox having to beat Roger to exorcise their demons and claim "the precious".
