Voice of the Shotgun

  • (Didn’t Know I Was) UnAmerican (Mp3, Video)
    • A pleasant little song about your freedom of speech and what you believe.
    • From Mike’s links.
  • Florida State Electronic Voting System (Short Movie)
    • Was going to post this before the election, but the links weren’t stable. They’re better now and it’s still as funny as it was before. Well, maybe a little less funny. Thanks to Chuck and Rui for bringing this to my attention.
  • Cryo Mouse (DIY)
    • Best mouse mod. Eva.
  • Course On How To Throw Cards (Skillz)
    • You’ve got 4 years to kill. Why not learn to throw playing cards?
  • Tiki Tissues (Shopping)
    • I never realized Target had a sense of humor. This proves they do.
  • Sorryeverybody.com (Apology)
    • Speaks for itself.
  • New Map of North America (Bitterness)
    • This has been going around the ‘net. I think it oversimplifies, and “Jesusland” is somewhat inflammatory but I admit to finding it damn funny when I first saw it. So I share it with you.
    • Sent to me by lots of people.
  • Gravity (Game)
    • Simple, fun little game where you try to defeat gravity for a certain amount of time. Try to get your little object to orbit the gravity sources as long as you can. Each round increases the number of gravity sources. Reminds me of a program Chuck and I used to fool around with in college.
  • Slapper (Game)
    • Almost as fun on the computer as it is in real life. Try to beat the computer with your reflexes. Slap the hand!
  • The Big Lebowski Random Quote Generator
    • “You’re entering a world of pain.”
  • Post-Election Daily Show Clips (Short Film)
    • You need a laugh.
  • Freeper Reactions to Elizabeth Edwards’ Cancer (Collected by Oliver Willis) (appalling)
    • “God is not mocked, you reap what you sow. I’m sorry folks but we all have to learn that you cannot go around spewing hatred and leave the door wide open to satan.”
    • On second thought, don’t follow that link.

Wow (on the Elizabeth Edwards quotes) and here I was thinking "they couldn't have found this out Monday!" If they had we'd be saying bye bye to Dubbya today (symapathy ought to have been good for 1-2% in at least one swing state).

Nice Christian thoughts from them by the way. I thought christians were supposed to be new testament. Spewing hate? Give me one example. OK not including the hate for dubbya and co.

I don't think Freepers are Christians. I think they've hidden amongst the Christians, kinda like terrorists hide in mosques.

I don't think so either but they apparently like to use the lingo or at least try.

Regarding sorryeverybody.com, I love the drawing from FL:

"We live in a giant wang. What else can you expect?"

Classic.

I just watched "Didn't know I was Unamerican," and it made me cry.

I know in my heart what I believe is right, and I thank Ian Rhett for reminding me.

I will not sit back, I will not be quiet, and I will not allow others to run my country into the ground. I will work to make 2006 a successful year for all Americans and, in turn, the world.

Who's with me?

Hell yes.

But part of me also belieces something I read the other day. Changing the president won't change the country. Changing the country will be reflected in a different president someday.

That said, I'm still considering what to do. This post on David's blog sounds like a start.

It's like Dave Grenier read my mind. I've copied a bit from that link and sent it around to some friends who are feeling angry and sort of directionless.

Hell, I might vote for Dave!

Thanks.
