Other Blogs Rundown

Here’s a quick rundown on what’s going on at some of the other blogs I most often read.

Bil notes some goofy Libertarian ideas about the tsunami disaster. Namely that they shouldn’t get any foreign aid. Those nutty Randians. But he also links to someone else’s post about Limbaugh, and has some great examples of the primitive tribalist claptrap you hear on his show. Typical hypnotic wingnut gibberish, indeed.
Chuck’s sporting spontaneous artwork from his distaff family members.
Brian starts the year off (after a long absence) with a diverting New Years Resolution Generator. We want more from the guy, but I guess you have to start somewhere.
Tequila Mockingbird elaborates on her cousin Michael and how blogs can and have become a thread of communication among faraway loved ones.
Steve shows us that Madison knew the dangers of endless war. It reminds me that Orwell’s “1984”-style war “is waged by each ruling group against its own subjects.” Is that the road ahead?
Sara had a weird moment that I bet has never happened to you. I wish she had given more details — I will have to needle her upon her return.
Left2Right’s Don Herzog talks a little about that Economist story I blogged on Monday.
David is currently in his own version of an HGTV show.

Anyhow, that’s a quick look around. I actually read quite a few blogs via Bloglines, so if you can see who I’m reading.

BTW, if you have a lot of blogs you want to keep up on and you don’t want to install a newsreading client on your machine, Bloglines is the way to go. It’ll tell you when there are new posts, and in may cases blogs publish full entries so you can read it all in one place without too much surfing. Reading blogs doesn’t have to be like remembering to visit 1,000 websites anymore.

I finally jumped on the Bloglines bandwagon last week. Adios, bookmarks. It is good for reading a few websites whose designs actually hinder the process of reading the text.

One side note: I know I wouldn't want those mouths on _me_; lord knows where they've been.

What Patti said. It's amazing that all these "compassionate" groups have not even acknowledged the worst tragedy in many of our lifetimes.
