Doesn't ring a bell yet, but I love the picture.

No idea but I'll see if I can pull a Chuck.

Big?

Posted by: B.O.B.(bob) at January 18, 2005 10:40 AM

Looks like a carnival or a toy store.

I like Bob's guess.

Posted by: Patti M. at January 18, 2005 11:00 AM

Hrmmm. No idea. So I'll make a wild-ass guess:

The Toy? (with Richard Pryor?)

Posted by: Chuck S. at January 18, 2005 11:19 AM

The toys look like carnival prizes.

Second clue is up! Guess the movie! Tell me what scene you're looking at!

Posted by: James at January 18, 2005 11:29 AM

Wow, how obscure. Of course, being the birder I am, I just tried to identify what type of tern or gull those are.

I need a nap.

Posted by: Patti M. at January 18, 2005 11:47 AM

It's the scene where the carnival people are looking at an ugly painting of seagulls.

Sorry, I need something that's more of a dead giveaway.

Have I seen this?

Posted by: Julie at January 18, 2005 11:52 AM

These are some obscure shots. I don't recognize either one. Doesn't mean I haven't seen the movie in question.

Posted by: briwei at January 18, 2005 11:54 AM

Ok, so in one shot we have a store that looks to be very 90s with the style of the stuffies. In the other we have what looks like a remote cabin with wood panelling and a crappy painting. I have no idea what movie this could be, but those two shots seem to have nothing to do with each other.

I'm almost postive that it isn't Casablanca, but I can't be sure.

FInally a movie I know, the second image totally gave it away for me! It's Chasing Amy!

Posted by: Sharon at January 18, 2005 12:36 PM

Sorry, I forgot to say what scene it's from. It's when Holden (Ben Affleck) and Alyssa (Joey Lauren Adams) are in a diner and she buys him that painting from the waiter at the end of their meal.

Posted by: Sharon at January 18, 2005 12:49 PM

James, did you rent a craptacular Ben Affleck movie from Netflix?

Posted by: Patti M. at January 18, 2005 12:53 PM

Is Sharon on the right track? Third clue is up now!

Posted by: James at January 18, 2005 1:00 PM

Ok, I have _no_ idea. That dude is too short to be Affleck, and though they look like aliens, I can see the female is smiling, so I'm guessing they aren't.

WTF is this movie?

Posted by: Patti M. at January 18, 2005 1:07 PM

The fourth clue will probably clinch it for anyone who has seen the film. (I'm putting it up now because image 3 is so obscure) After lunch I'll throw a final image up there.

Posted by: James at January 18, 2005 1:21 PM

Clue no. 4 says:

"Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error."

I'm just following orders. (Man, am I tired of hearing _that_ excuse!)

Thanks - Fixed

Posted by: James at January 18, 2005 1:30 PM

I will have to take Sharon's word for it. I saw Chasing Amy too long ago to remember much about it!

Posted by: Julie at January 18, 2005 1:46 PM

I am feeling testy and confused by these clues, so I took a stroll down memory lane and went through the archives. That was really nice. Now for lunch.

Posted by: Patti M. at January 18, 2005 2:16 PM

Looking at #2... hmm. Wargames?
#3... comic book convention. One of the Kevin Smith movies? Chasing Amy or Mallrats?
#4... Okay... I'm going with Chasing Amy.

Posted by: Chuck S. at January 18, 2005 2:40 PM

Never saw it, so I think they must be right because I don't recognize any of these images. :)

Posted by: briwei at January 18, 2005 3:28 PM

There's the final image. Ben Affleck on the right anf Jason Lee on the left. The movie is worth seeing just for the personality and comiuc delivery of Jason Lee (in my humble opinion). It's a lot of Kevin Smithian dialogue, but I can't help but love this film.

Sharon gets the coveted Movie Ace of the day. It's Chasing Amy! Also a nod to Chuck!

Thanks for playing, ALL!
