Star Wars Craziness Week

I don’t watch many TV shows, but of the few I do watch I was amused to see 2 unexpected reference to Star Wars apparently timed to coincide with the week of the release of the final film, Episode III.

At the end of Sunday’s Family Guy there was an extended end sequence which mimicked the famous medal ceremony scene from the end of the first movie, Episode VI.

On Wednesday night on Lost, there is a scene where Michael scolds Jin while they’re finishing up construction of the raft.

No, no, no! This one goes there, that one goes there.

It’s Han and Chewie from The Empire Strikes Back just before they leave Hoth.

Observed any well-timed Star Wars references this week? Or, heck, any Star Wars-related weirdness? Feel free to post it to the comments.

Hey, cool. I missed the Lost reference completely.

Speaking of TV shows. Did anyone out there in Aces Full land happen to tape last night's CSI (The Tarrantino episode)? If so would they be willing to let me borrow it once they've watched it? I'd gladly pay for shipping/tape costs. Patti and I went to a concert last night and I forgot to set the VCR. Doh!

I did not tape it, but I did see about two seconds of it - just enough to get a final glimpse of Frank Gorshin. :(

I forgot to tape it as well. And I wanted to catch Frank's farewell. How was it?

From what little I saw, Frank was great. His voice was in excellent shape. Like nothing had happened, and like he had never been sick. His impressions were like 40 years old, though. Not sure how much anyone still needs to hear Ed Sullivan again. :)

We missed the first couple of minutes. I didn't even realize he was in it. I was not on the ball at all following CSI, and only realized this was the Tarantino-directed season finale when they mentioned it during a commercial break.

Unfortunately, I didn't tape it, else I would definitely send you off a tape.

No worries. I'm sure it will come around again. If not, I'll rent it when the season comes out on DVD. My TV watching has bordered on non-existent these days. :)
