The gutter at our office at work is full of organic material. And some
of it is very much alive. Salad greens anyone? These plants were worried they'd be cleaned out until they realized they were on campus property.

That's some impressive buildup in the gutters. All you need to do is get an animal living in there. Then it can be a protected habitat.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if there were squirrels, skunks, woodchucks, turkeys and deer all living in those gutters.

Hell, I'm nearly certain there are some undergraduates sleeping off a weekend bender in there. I'm hoping for a grant to fund a research study.
