I'm trying to figure out how I came out Chaotic Evil on that AD&D Survey.
Oh well. Might as well run with it.
Posted by: Mike at July 29, 2005 10:26 AMI have known for years that wine doesn't have to be expensive to be good. How do I know? Why, I've been on the mailing list for The Wine and Cheese Cask in Somerville for years! Dig it:
http://www.thewineandcheesecask.com/newsletter.htm
Note the "wines of the month" which are always between $5 and $10 (http://www.thewineandcheesecask.com/wine_month.htm). Trying different kinds of wine at affordable prices is a great way to learn about wine and what you do and don't like.
I love The Wine and Cheese Cask because their wines are affordable and their staff is approachable. They don't employ toffee-nosed people who look down on you because you don't know your chardonnay from your muscadet. \
They're knowledgeable and friendly, and their prices are killer!
Posted by: Patti M. at July 29, 2005 11:01 AMNice one, Patti!
Mike, you're not chaotic evil. But if you are, can you tell me if a quazit makes a good pet? I've always wondered.
Posted by: James at July 29, 2005 11:14 AMI was walking on Kirkland St. the other day and ducked into the Wine and Cheese Cask for the first time. It's a nice place with a great selection.
Posted by: Mike at July 29, 2005 11:24 AMI'm chaotic good. But I could have told you that.
Posted by: Julie at July 29, 2005 11:57 AMI am chaotic good. I must say, however, that some of the questions had nonsensical answers, thus, I sometimes picked the only one that made sense.
Mike, they make wonderful sandwiches at the Wine and Cheese Cask. They put cornichons in their tuna salad sandwiches--delish! I used to work across the street and would often pop in for lunch. Nice place with nice people.
Posted by: Patti M. at July 29, 2005 12:05 PMBTW, if you're in the Kirkland St. area, check out the Oxford St. Spa for lunch. Yum!
Posted by: Patti M. at July 29, 2005 12:08 PMStop, you're making me hungry.
Here at work, we're going to drive down to the Dockside in Padanaram and eat over near the Padanaram bridge, overlooking the harbor.
Posted by: James at July 29, 2005 12:23 PMCan't imagine where I might have seen this: "Is Sheila just swiping all of James' links?
Or what?"
"To recognize quality linkmanship is the sign of a true ProJo bloglinklister."
(I'd wanted to post my new do-it-yourself icon, but I look too much like the guy in the GorillaZ video.)
Yes - I saw that Projo link on one of my new flavorite weblogs:
H.M.S. Impossible.
Natch.
Enjoy your shore leave.
You rawk!
Shit, I spelled "scatological" wrong.
