He actually had the better job. Everybody in the audience was supposed to hold their hands over their heads and pretend to milk a cow.

Posted by: Patti M. at August 16, 2005 8:37 AMFor those unfamiliar, The Adventurer's Club is one of the clubs at Pleasure Island, part of "Downtown Disney" at Walt Disney World.
Pleasure Island is Disney's grownup entertainment spot, mostly filled with different dance clubs, an improv club, restaurants and a performance stage.
The Adventurer's Club is different than the other clubs. Along the same performance lines of a ren faire, you wander into the club and are surrounded by what is supposed to be a place that adventurers meet and swap tall tales in the year 1937.
The denizens of the club (a butler, various adventurers, the maid, the club president, a disembodied head, an audio animatronic colonel, an audio animatronic goddess sculpture and a bunch of animated masks) put on shows every 15 minutes or so. You wander from room to room interacting with them.
When we went years ago on our honeymoon, Maggie got roped into performing in the radio show. She had to do the ad for their cereal "Jinkies."
"Jump up for Jinkies! -- WE LOVE 'EM!"
Posted by: James at August 16, 2005 9:05 AMDancing with a plastic cow... that's awesome.
Posted by: Chuck S. at August 16, 2005 12:26 PMBetter than dancing with an Angelina Jolie doll?
Posted by: Patti M. at August 16, 2005 12:38 PMI'm thinking it over.
Posted by: ThirdMate at August 16, 2005 2:00 PMHmmm. Who says "moo" in that scenario?
Posted by: Chuck S. at August 16, 2005 2:27 PMBoy, you thought about that before you posted it, didn't you?
I'm not touching that with a 10-foot pole. (stop that)
