Rubber Wrist Band

Rubber Wrist Band

Originally uploaded by drmomentum.

My younger daughter wanted to show me how you can link two loops together, which is something she does with colorful jelly-plastic bracelets that she has. The bracelets won’t fit on my arm, so she insisted she show me how it works with rubber bands.

I haven’t really felt like taking them off. It’s nice to be reminded of the kids throughout the day.

That's neat. It's nice when your kids make you things.

BTW, aren't you going to show us how it works?

I'll bet your daughter can show you how it works. I'll bet she knows. Some things are little-girl universal. ;-)

It's 2 rubber bands, first off. You can't tell that from the picture, but it's 2.

It is a complex and ingenius apparatus, and really deserves its own special website, rather than a blog.

You're kind of hairy. Doesn't having a rubber band around your arm pull that hair?

Sometimes. But I'm a big boy. It's just loose enough that it doesn't cause much of a problem. But I stuck my hand into a sock this morning and it bunched up. I felt that.
