Sawed-Off Shotgun

Kaput’s memorial is going on on campus today, and I overslept this morning. So, in a bit of a pinch. Shotgun today is sparse.

So, Mike suggested something: Sawed-Off shotgun! Maybe once a month I give you a much abbreviated list of links, and you folks put in your favorite Friday finds in the comments. Come on, you know you’re surfing the web on Friday. Might as well share the wealth.

So, here we go. A few to start you off, including a contribution from Bob McC.

I don't think there's a way to check AIM blocking on that website. Just MSN.

I have two links today:

I got nothin'. :(

Well, wait, there's this:

where my Letter To The Editor may have been published. Except they didn't bother to put their letters online that day, so there's nothing to see. :-P

Otherwise, I've been looking at small appliance websites, an Apprentice blog, and a General Hospital message board to find out if someone I like is going to get killed off soon.

What I could really use is a website that doesn't sell things, but helps people figure out what gifts to get people for Christmas. Like a Gift-O-Matic type of thing.

Here is one possible item of interest. Predictions of an unusually nice Taurids this weekend.

I have been filing all day, and that is not hyperbole, my friends.

Thus, I knew a slice of David Reese would hit the spot:

That is some unstoppable filing technique!

Mike: I think there is a sidebar link for AIM checking on that site. At least, I am sure it was there last I checked. I was using it on a remote coworker who has been hard to cathc online lately...
