I’ve just uploaded a new post to Thing of Ugly — the co-blog I share with Maggie.
It’s called “Asking for Some Respect” and it deals with the issue of whether a woman who is beaten, tortured, raped and murdered is “asking for it.”
And what it reveals about the thinking of some people.
Surf over there, why don’t you?

So, now that women have been warned, any woman on spring break who is beaten, raped and killed will be said to have been "asking for trouble."

Face it, with the recent SD decision, the old white conservatives just want to set women's rights back 160 years and control everything a woman (and her uterus) does. If it weren't for the economic boost of Spring Break, the Florida legislature would probably order burkhas for all females.

I had no idea public nudity and dancing on tables was a health problem. Thanks, AMA, for that important health-related information!
If they really cared about spring-breakers' health, they'd also remind men (and women) not to dive off of hotel balconies. And to always brush their teeth.
