Hot Mom

Over the Memorial Day weekend (which was very busy) at one point we found ourselves in the mall parking lot. I saw an approximately 16-year-old boy get out of a car with his mother.

He had a long T-shirt on that read across the chest: “I LOVE HOT MOMS.

I couldn’t imagine being a 16 year old boy and wanting to wear that shirt, never mind wearing it out with my mom. Nor could I imagine being a parent walking around with my son wearing it.

However, it only occurred to me this morning that maybe that wasn’t his mom.

Aren't you married to a hot Mom? :)

The MILF appears to be the latest "exotic fantasy" being superimposed on reality: overworked, overstressed, horny, repressed, not getting enough at home, driven by frustration to do anything in bed, yadda yadda yadda.

Seems like every few years there's a new fantasy making the rounds.

I had three other thoughts:

1. Kid lost a bet
2. Kid is being punished
3. MOMS is an acronym or the name of a bakery

I'm not sure that's what this T-shirt was about, but I didn't stop to ask.

And to answer Keri's comment, I certainly think I'm married to a hot mom, even though she doesn't like me to call attention to that fact.

The first thing I thought of:

Kid has a prurient desire for pregnant women.

Big grin at your last line!

Here's hoping it's an acronym or slang term for something else. The whole MILF thing is too much for me to think about.

You mean the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)?

The "hot mom" phenomenon that isn't so much of a new trend. From "Stiffler's Mom" all the way back to "Mrs. Robinson" and before, "hot moms" have appeared in movies and pop culture.

If there is an "exotic fantasy" attached to "hot moms" (I'm guessing we're talking about pr0n) I say it's a watered down form of infantilism.

That's my interpretation and I'm sticking to it.

I'm with Chuck on the cyclical nature of these things. I can't even give away those "I heart Hot Cops" T-shirts this year. However, the "Namibia is for Lovers" shirts are flying.

I noticed my first "I Love Hot Moms" t-shirt today and a middle aged man was wearing it. I wonder how a version with a photo of the Virgin Mary would sell.

I don't know what the big deal is? I just bought one of these shirts and I think that it is hillarious.

They say that laughter is the best medicine!

BTW - Mike, I must have missed your suggestion the first time aorund, because I am LMAO-ing and have a strong urge to visit Cafe Press with your idea.

But I'll try to be good.

A t-shirt that read "I love Hot Dogs" in the same font would also work.

I missed it too. Musta gotten pushed off the recent comments list by a busy thread.
