97% here.

I refuse to pronounce Billerica "Bill-rick-uh".

97% for me as well.

Wonder what I could have answered better.

I am 100% from MA. And like it or not, it is bill-RICK-ah.

I was always amused when the students who worked for me at Harvard would ask, "Why isn't the town pronounced QUIN-see?" and "Why isn't it PEA-body?"

I was happy to get a mere 91% on this test despite being 100% from Massachusetts.

I can't believe it - I got 100%.

Certain answers, while still technically correct, give you a higher or lower percentage.

I am pretty sure where I lost my 1% - on the "Whitey" question. You have to consider why he's famous, not just who he is. D'oh! I decided incorrectly between the two answers.

Posted by: James at January 15, 2007 12:25 PM

Nationally, people know Whitey as the "Boston mafioso" on the FBI's Most Wanted list because of that movie. Within the state, we apparently know him as the UMass guy. At least, that's the answer I gave.

You can answer either answer on Whitey and still get 100%. I scientifically tweaked my answers one at a time to go from 91% (my original score) to 100%, and then made changes to see what made a difference and what didn't. It doesn't matter if you merely know what a packie is, or if you actually frequent them. It also doesn't matter which way you answer the Whitey question.
