Cool Tool: Stainless Steel Can Colander (gadget,tools,cooking,food)
- OK, kinda cool tool. But I've found that if I just eat all the tuna straight out of the can with a fork, the liquid is gone by the time the tuna is gone. It's more filling and not much more caloric with the liquid.
FOX ATTACKS (activism,media,politics,liberal,reference)
- Julie has commented to me that "Outfoxed" should be updated and rereleased. The folks who made that film are taking a different approach. This is a website to host videos and fresh revelations about the Faux News channel.
Drunken Jedi Trailer Trash (fun,starwars,video)
- Someone crossed drunken frat boys with Star Wars and YouTube.

- Forget dangerous and pointy letter openers. You need a bunny.
Pretty Things Can Harm You: Toxic Houseplants (article,plants)
- I recommend not eating any houseplants, but this site has taken the time to actually list some harmful ones. But IIRC, you have to eat about 600 poinsettia leaves to be in danger of dying from it. So... limit your intake of poinsettia?

True it takes a lot of poinsettia leaves to kill you - but this article warns only of rashes and nausea, probably on the supposition that most kids and pets won't have access to enough poinsettia leaves to kill them.

I like the Fox Attacks site, but I still wish they'd do a new movie.

Not surprisingly, the link for drunken jedi trailer trash is blocked here at work. Is it the same thing as T.R.O.O.P.S ?

I have the plastic version of the can colander, but I've found that it's not an improvement over my low-tech method of pushing the detached lid down against the tuna and inverting the can. That drains the liquid out with minimal tuna loss.
