Dancing.

Grace Kelly by a mile.

And Jimmy Stewart because... I don't know, he didn't get all leathery lookin'?

Crying.

Grace Kelly I guess.

and Jimmy Stewart because he could actually act instead of just look fabulous.

Dancing, cuz as bad as it is, at least it doesn't make my face blotchy.

Kelly and Stewart.

Dancing........crying is too private. Plus Julie is right, real people never look good crying.

Now this is a contest! Grace Kelly was incredibly beautiful, but I would not say she was "hot". Kim Novak on the other hand, was not as beautiful, but she had the "bad girl" thing working for her. I know it's not Hitchcock, but Kim Novak was smokin' in "Picnic".

The other part is a slam dunk for Cary Grant. When he has Eva Marie Saint in that train car in "North By Northwest".........oh sorry, I was lost for a minute. Jimmy Stewart is too dweeby and hesitant. Not manly at all. All that stuttering? Ick.

Every time I think of Jimmy Stewart, I think of the Dana Carvey impersonation, "I woke up in a puddle of my own sick!" Hilarious. I've never actually seen Cary Grant in anything, including North by Northwest. But I like Jimmy Stewart, so I'll go for him. (Can I have Sean Connery from Marnie instead?)

As far as the women, Grace Kelly has always reminded me of my grandmother. Kim Novak's kind of creepy. But I think I'll give it to Kim.

Crying. If somebody's making fun of you for crying, they're a real jerk. If somebody's making fun of your dancing... well... fair game. I'll put the onus of jerkiness on the beholder.

Dancing... At least I'd be having fun, right?

Kelly and Stewart

dancing...

Novak's picture is hotter but I think from looking at other pics of both Kelly wins by a little :)

crying

me crying is less embarrassing than me dancing

Posted by: Chuck S. at June 11, 2007 3:03 PM

Maggie - OMG! There is nothing hotter than Sean Connery in Marnie!

Posted by: bostonmaggie at June 11, 2007 9:26 PM

Dancing. Just because I might have a temporary bad moment doesn't mean that everyone else has to feel bad about it, too. Crying is definintely for in private.

And dang! If Maggie gets Sean Connery, then I do, too. Yum!

Wha wha wha wait a sec.</stewart>

The ladies get a third choice of leading man? Fine, then I'll take Ingrid Bergman from Notorious.

P.S. I just added Marnie to my Netflix queue, thanks for that.

"Marnie" is a little strange. But so are a lot of Hitchcock films.

Posted by: James at June 12, 2007 11:09 AM

LOL. That's what James gets for giving us crappy choices!

"Marnie" is a lot strange, but not nearly as bad as "Frenzy."

Posted by: Maggie at June 12, 2007 12:30 PM

I've never seen Marnie, but it sounds as though I'm missing out on something really good.

Posted by: Julie at June 12, 2007 1:14 PM

Agreed - "Frenzy" was even more disturbing.

Posted by: James at June 12, 2007 1:44 PM
