Here’s the update. My daughter’s bridge is pictured at right. And there were no bridge questions on the 6th grade MCAS. (I guess they could be coming in a later year.)
Her bridge held 86 lbs.
It's a nice bridge, but why don't I see any traffic backed up on both sides?
Posted by: Julie at June 16, 2007 11:27 PMIt is a nice bridge, perhaps she could make it a bit bigger so that it may connect to both Somerset and Fall River!

I wonder where I can make the proper inquiries...
Very nice. I'm impressed.
Posted by: Sara at June 17, 2007 1:33 PMGreat bridge. Did she make this in shop? I loved shop. I loved drafting class, too. I got all As.
I hope they still have shop and drafting classes in school!
Posted by: Patti M. at June 18, 2007 9:00 AMI think the class was called "home tech," and for one half of the year it was typing. I think she preferred the bridge building, although there were injuries and I know she was a little wary of the x-acto tools. The typing teacher was very old school, and K can't be told to sit up straight for an hour and a half. She can't sit still for an hour and a half, much less sit straight.
