Shipping Up to Shotgun

Tomorrow we’re invited to take part in an Underway Demonstration on the most famous vessel in American naval history. I’m pretty stoked! Enjoy your weekend!

…and updates will surely continue on Twitter. See also my friends. Posted by James at July 13, 2007 10:11 AM

It's true about the crunches. Back in the day, my trainer insisted I didn't need to do them. I did 'em anyway because I've always enjoyed them.

God how I love "Will It Blend." Maybe we can see if Bush will blend.

Knowing how fascinated by zombie poop Craig Ferguson is, perhaps I should email that pyramid to him.

And let me close by saying that I am more proud than ever to be a card-carrying member of the ACLU. Thanks for posting that.

By the way, yes, I am irritated by the misspelling of "definitely."

Break it down.

de (of)
finite (having a limited nature)
ly (adjective suffix used to express manner, appearance, etc.)

de finite ly

To that, I add this nicely illustrated guide to the apostrophe, another source of irritation:

I always felt that the series of ab exercises I did helped my back muscles. I stopped a couple of years ago and haven't really lost the ab muscles -- you need that core when you run, and running strengthens the core -- but my back hurts a lot. If I can force myself to do it, I'll add abs back in and see if it helps the back.

Well, I was doing back exercises then too, plus a bunch of other stuff, but it's true that crunches and other abdominal exercises also stretch your back muscles - that's probably why I always liked them. In fact, if I can clear off a large enough space on my living room floor, maybe I'll do some tonight.

(I used to do a lot of them on Sunday nights during "Married with Children"... that'll tell you how long ago it was...)

I HATE doing abs, but if it'll make my back feel better, I have to start. Maybe I can just stretch and do back exercises, though...
