Would You Rather

Would you rather:

  • Be able to run 60 MPH for an hour per day or
  • Be able to carry 1,000 lbs with the same ease you carry half your body weight now.

Good one! That's a hard choice. I think I would make more frequent use of the running one, though. My commute time would be drastically reduced and thus my gas consumption and wear and tear on my car. Perhaps I'd learn how to parley my fast legs into fast bicycle time...

I'll take the strength in this case. The running would be cool but I think being able to always lift heavy objects would be better than running once a day. Plus, I hate running.

It'd be very handy to be able to run real fast without incurring repetitive stress injuries, as long as I didn't have to take the whole hour at once (otherwise I'm kinda stuck at my destination).

As it is, there are certain things (like air conditioners and TVs) that I COULD lift, if I could just get my stubby little girly arms around them. Increased strength might be wasted.

The ideal thing for me, then, would be the ability to adjust the length of my arms at will. :)

I definitely want to be able to lift more stuff. It would be very handy when landscaping or doing construction. That's my main obstacle -- my weak upper body. I like to run, and I run a lot more slowly than I used to (which was always a little slower than average), but I feel no particular desire to run faster.

Lifting.

I'm with B.O.B.

Definitely lifting, although running is tempting, I lift heavy things much more frequently than I require speed.
