Maharishi Coincidence

My kids like to give my cars nicknames, but they haven’t yet given one to the used Saturn I was struggling to get registered on Tuesday.

I joked to my wife that “Saturn” made me think of Sadie, and for a few other reasons “Sexy Sadie” might be a justifiable (if unattractive) name for the car.

Odd coincidence, the actual “Sexy Sadiedied on Tuesday.

I think we might go with the nickname “Ian” for ION instead.

There's also the name Ione, as in actress Ione Skye (Mrs. Veal, who wants to please you secularly).

I still like "Toasty." It looks like a little toaster, and that's what Melba (from Animal Crossing) calls people. Melba was M's favorite character. I know I'm not going to win, and since I don't name cars, I guess I don't care. :-P

The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is not to be confused with the Bagwan Shree Rajnish (which I did when I read the obit this week).

Remember him? He was in many strips of "Bloom County," and Bill the Cat had to be rescued from the cult/compound.

The "Blessed One" was bought 93 Rolls Royces by his loyal "followers."
