It feels like thirteen years to me, LOL.
Thirteen years ago today they wouldn't let me eat or drink for thirteen hours while I labored. Then the surprising revelation, "you're dehydrated." Frackin' morons. I can see why people would rather have their birth with a midwife at home. But she popped out, safe and sound, and except for the idiocy of not letting me drink (and believe me, I'd just go drink something now that I know better), it was the best day of my life. :-)
