Spent part of the afternoon at Sachuest Point in Rhode Island. I love the waves there. (Map) Photos to follow on Flickr.
Posted by James at July 11, 2008 3:30 PMI'm always amazed that we share spots of "interest."
I lived off of Purgatory, closer to Valley Road. My girlfriend introduced me to night surfing on Second Beach. And we watched a few sunrises off what we called "Sachuset."
Many years later, I got some serious stink on me Wellies, preparing a whale carcass there for transport. The New Bedford Whaling Museum had taken possession of what would later be known as "Kobo," the blue whale skeleton now hanging in the Cetacean Holocaust Memorial Gallery.
Er, Lobby.
Thnx fr the memories.
