Took the day off to watch the girls, and my cold is raging at full force. I'm staying on top of all the cold remedies I know, which is keeping me slightly dizzy but a lot less symptom-y. We'll go out for lunch later and come home to make the mug brownies mentioned below.
Lazy, hazy Friday
Here's a viral ad for your troubles. Yeah, I know it's advertising but I can't resist tiny animals. So sue me, it cracked me up:
Posted by James at February 20, 2009 10:26 AMI find it especially amusing that the no-fun ordinances are coming in a town called Pleasantville.
Posted by: briwei at February 20, 2009 11:58 AMNOT good. I do not need easy access to brownies whenever I want to nom.
I want to go to there.
Posted by: Maggie at February 20, 2009 12:00 PMI've had a browser tab open for months with a similar recipe for chocolate cake in a mug. I never got around to making it because it requires hot chocolate mix, which I don't have.
But I've got all the ingredients for this stuff. Oh yes I do.
Hope your cold goes away soon.
Posted by: Julie at February 20, 2009 3:05 PMI'm fighting it as best I can. My body is saying "hibernate; the cold will be gone when you wake up!"
I would probably also be a few pounds lighter.
Posted by: James at February 20, 2009 3:44 PMOMG the video had me cracking up. Thanks for posting it in all its glorificent fuzzicuteness.
Posted by: mjfrombuffalo at February 20, 2009 6:22 PMLove the animal video!
While I prefer to read a paper paper every morning with my coffee, the NYT skimmer is a good idea. I subscribe to about a dozen such news feeds for work and find the bite-sized encapsulations helpful. This will take off.
